I know enough about bugs and exterminating to get myself in trouble! A family member had an outbreak of bed bugs re-emerge, and I was trying to find someone to use heat to treat their home. I called a few places and they didn’t offer it. I called Pest Detectives and they answered and had a technician reached out to me immediately. James explained where heat is a great method of treatment, it doesn’t always benefit certain types of homes. This is the part when I new they were going to be a good company to work with, when James said to me “ I can take your money and do a heat treatment, but it may not be best.” So he came out and did an investigation of the house and explained heat treatment would not be best for their home because of it being a trailer and having voids that would create cold spots. So we discussed other treatments they offered, along with the every 2 weeks spraying and monitoring of activity. I have been extremely happy with this company from day 1! I would recommend 10/10!!

Paul was great! Very informative, helpful and friendly. It would have been 5 stars, but he had to come back to do a second treatment because the termites came back the next year, ie: this year. Fortunately, he did come back and not ghost me like some people would have done. He also came a month after the second treatment to do a follow-up inspection. So 5 stars for customer service, but unfortunately only 3 or 4 for effectiveness of the treatment. Hopefully the termites are gone for good this time and I can change it to 5 stars.

Just after my first interaction with Paul, I was impressed! He was super nice and had such a positive attitude, he informed me about so much honestly! I used another company (I will not say name but I will leave my review on their page accordingly) since we moved here in September, and ants showed up around early March. Guy came out, just looked where they were and put 3 dots of whatever stuff.. they never left, he didn’t even attempt to look into things. I didn’t pay them for that!! They should have never even showed up! So I called and their prices are half of what the other company was!! So I gave them a try and that guy got on his hands and needs to dust where the ants came in and out of, he REALLY looked into it!! And I haven’t seen one since! (Also no my dishes didn’t bring them in lol that was after sitting for 4/5 hours! They come in with and without dishes and food) I HAVEN’T SEEN AN ANT SINCE!!

Not sure if it was from a garage sale or a recent trip to the beach but I found myself with some unwanted new roommates. Bed bugs. To say I was traumatized would be the understatement of the year.. I decided I could handle this problem by using pesticides available to the public and following a bunch of other advice i read on the internet. So wrong!! 2 weeks later and about to abandon my property altogether i realized i needed real help. James was recommended to me by another exterminator as the bed bug master of the area. I called this poor man hysterical. He assured me he would be at my house the next morning to inspect and begin any necessary treatment and he was. Exactly when he said he would might I add. He talked me through every step and was so knowledgeable I felt completely assured he was going to eradicate these creatures that turned my life upside down (and my sanity at some points) . I had a funky smell coming from my vents. Pest Detective rep came looked in one of three crawl space access points and said he didn't see anything.
If dead rodent was present, the smell would leave when it's body dries up. My son actually went into the crawl space and found wolf rats had chewed
several holes in ductwork that it actually broke in two and was sucking the funky smell from dirt floor. This is the only time I have been disappointed in my service from Pest Detectives.
